A few weeks ago I saw this post on Facebook talking about
this local tea and coffee company, well Schmetterling Tea and CoffeeCompany agreed to let me sample her coffee and give my unbiased opinion of this
locally produced coffee. I would call
myself a coffee expert, after all you rarely see me without a coffee mug in my
hand and I probably polish off a couple of pots of coffee a day. Shhhhh do not tell my Momma she says it will
stunt my growth!
I am a bit of a “nosy” person and
decided I would track them down. After
some begging, pleaing, and bargaining the owner of
The owner Schmetterling Tea and Coffee gave me two different
flavors of coffee beans to sample. Sumatra
Mandheling and Papua New Guunea, both coffees filled my house a rich coffee
smell…there is nothing like waking up to the smell of coffee brewing first
thing in the morning.
My favorite was The
Papua New Guunea, I like the bold tasted that lasted through my entire
pot…I did after all drink the entire pot.
The Sumatra Mandheling was good, but it was not my favorite, I drank it
just the same and prefer it over my normal Folgers Gourmet Coffee that I get
when I am out of the good stuff!
Either way Schemetterling Coffee earned my coffee addicts seal of approval, or empty cup award!
Schemetterling Tea and Coffee is hand roasted in Frohna,
Missouri. They also have a special
elderberry blossom tea that has been their family’s tradition for generations
back.
Want your own cup of Schmetterling
Tea and Coffee? Look for them on Facebook
or contact them at 573-517-3968…I assure you that you will not be sorry!
