I am excited to say in a little over a month I have the opportunity
head south to Dallas for the Family Travel Conference 2012.
Unlike many of my fellow TMOM bloggers and other bloggers,
this will be my first “travel” conference that I get to attend. I still feel like I am a little fish in a
great big pond, but I am very excited to get the inside tips from a few of the experts.
I have attended a few blogger conferences over the past
couple of years and this is what I find most helpful about attending
conferences.
Connections- I get the opportunity to meet, greet, and learn
from blogging experts, sort of like going to a medical conference and learning
from the top neurosurgeon.
Inside Tips- at
the #FTCDallas conference I personally am excited to hear Christi McNeill the
spokesperson for Southwest Airlines speak.
Christi controls Southwest Airlines social networking and blogging and
if you have not clicked over to their pages I encourage you she does an amazing
job.
Learn- at conferences, you get the chance to learn better
ways to make your blog or website a success.
You learn tips like which tweets are tweets worth retweeting, how
captivate your audience, and how to use the equipment you have, but use it
better.
Fun times- okay so you all have seen some of the crazy
photos I tweet out of myself on regular basis, now imagine a whole room full of
goofballs like me. I am excited to get
to hang with my fellow #TMOM’s and many other like-minded travel gurus’
The Family
Travel Conference in Dallas is held November 9-11 2012, registration is
available here, and you can check out their website for more details and a
complete list of speakers, workshops, and planned events.
Have a FUN Day,
~Becky
